Ministry of Finance Amends the UAE E-Invoicing Framework

The UAE Ministry of Finance has amended the regulatory framework governing the country's electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) system, extending the deadline for businesses to select an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) until 30 October 2026. The previous deadline had been 31 July 2026.

The amendments to Ministerial Decision No. 244 of 2025 apply to taxpayers with an annual turnover exceeding AED 50 million. The extension follows an assessment of market readiness and takes into account requests from the business community for a wider choice of technology providers and stronger price competition.

At present, 32 service providers have received accreditation, while several additional applications are in the final stages of review.

In parallel, amendments have also been introduced to Ministerial Decision No. 64 of 2025, allowing UAE-based companies to collaborate with international partners in developing technological solutions for the e-invoicing ecosystem.

This approach is expected to facilitate technology transfer, encourage innovation, and accelerate the adaptation of digital services to the needs of the UAE market.
